My bet is minimum will come early this year because o the unusual shape of the ice. A large ‘notch’ has developed between 170E and 140E over the last two weeks and that area has been below freezing 24/7 for a week already https://www7320.nrlssc.navy.mil/hycomARC/navo/arcticictnowcast.gif
