Arctic Sea Ice Extent – Most Ice Since 2004

Arctic Sea Ice Extent for 2013 is only 130,000 sq km under the 11,367,000 mean for day 173. Thats 1.13%.

You have to go back to 2004 before it was closer to the mean.

Same here a slight uptick which takes it way out of the previous trends. I would not be surprised if it stays within SD 79-90 for the whole year.. The jewel in the crown of AGW will be gone LOL

However DMI main page is still frozen to 2 weeks ago

Note the difference between sea ice area and sea ice extent (which is also influenced by wind)
