• Global Sea Ice Extent is 699,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean. That is ranked 6th for the day.
• Antarctic Sea Ice Extent is 1,254,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean. That is the 71st daily record for 2014.
• Arctic Sea Ice Extent is -555,000 sq km below the 1981-2010 mean.
