- Global Sea Ice Extent is 721,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean. Big drop over the last few days because Antarctica slowed down.
- Antarctic Sea Ice Extent is 1,214,000 sq km above the 1981-2010 mean. 80th daily record for 2014.
- Arctic Sea Ice Extent is -493,000 sq km below the 1981-2010 mean.
