  1. There is an interesting discussion on this topic at tallblokes talkshop with some good background data as well.
    Even large barrages do not produce much electricity.

      The tidal generators I remember tend to get pounded to crap by the ocean and then fail. At least this one “looks” heavy duty. I have my doubts.

      The huge advantage tidal generators have over wind turbines is that no one is mass producing them yet … so they aren’t wasting subsidies.

      I have no objection to spending lots on research until they make a breakthrough.

      I do think they will kill sea life though.
