Interesting that NOAA ice extent is holding at 5.03 M Km2 for the moment.

Compares to a minimum of 5.08 M Km2 last year (Sept. 13, 2013).

Meanwhile, MASIE shows further losses, though as usual, MASIE extent ( 5.27 M Km2 on day 257) is higher than NOAA.
