Antarctic Sea Ice Area has now resumed the skyrocketing climb after a short pause (difference between Area/Extent here)
Another day another 100,000 sq km. Mind boggling.

TSI made the move lower at the right time.

As I have said before TSI and Area have been tracking side by side all year.
The information from Solen is not TSI. It is the 10.7cm Solar Flux. The Flux is caused by Solar UV [high energy ultraviolet radiation] “energizing” the Ozone layer [and upper atmosphere]. As the “energetic” ozone layer relaxes [electron orbital relaxation], the 10.7 cm Flux is created.
The TSI, as per usual, has hardly changed. People who say the Sun doesn’t affect the Earth’s climate use TSI as proof. People that say that the Sun does affect the Earth’s Climate use Solar UV [as represented by the 10.7cm Flux].
How does the TSI and the Sea Ice Area data track over the last 30 or so years?
I meant this to be a reply to njsnowfan for comment #1.
OMG! Looks like a hockey stick!
Yup
