Antarctica set a daily record for day 91. The old record was from 2014 and was broken by only 12,000 sq km.
This would be the 21st Daily Record for 2015.
The “streak” just shows the place for each day so for example Jan 1 was 2nd highest, Jan 2 was a record etc :

This is NOAA’s prediction graph for the Arctic.
Two things stand out on the graph ->
1) Note that the August anomaly is “ZERO”, and that the September minimum is 6 mil km^2.
2) The September minimum, at 6 mil km^2, would be 2.5 mil km^2 MORE sea ice than last year at 3.5 mil km^2.
If the NOAA prediction holds true, Global Warming in the Arctic is OVER!!!!!!!!
