Has there been any formal discussion amongst the experts about why Antarctic sea ice extent took such a downturn around Day 192 and has since remained mired near the long-term average?
Will be interesting to read what you make of Day 218 Antarctic number! 19.003 up from 17.577 a day increase of 1.426, me thinks something is awry either with the day number or it is a correction for something that has gone awry earlier? Sure looks interesting

Yup. But the “MIssing” field has .001 in it. Which indicates bad data.
