But it’s impressive anyway, it’s around the same area of Saudi Arabia.
Nonetheless you’re right, and well it’s true that even though this drop Antarctica sea ice is for now “on average”
I believe el Nino also must have played a role somehow.
The alarmists have very conveniently ignored the Antarctic ice in recent years, but one day shortly they will see it very low and jump all over it with the “see, both arctic and Antarctic is low” scream…
Here’s the irony in it all. The Alarmists, when confronted about the record high Antarctic sea ice, used some doublethink to invent the idea that AGW predicted all along that Antarctic sea ice would grow (even though they were all predicting the opposite before they noticed the trend). Now that the ice has shrunk way down below average, they will, of course, claim that in fact AGW predicted all along that Antarctic sea ice would shrink.
That’s the beauty of AGW – Popper’s Law of Falsifiability does not apply. Therefore, AGW is a win for alarmists, and among REAL scientists it’s complete junk.
The difference in the Arctic between this year and last will likely be ~500k km2, the amount lost in a single week in August by storm activity.
And Antarctica -2.000.000 lower than last year xD
That is the pattern. Big drop after setting records.
