Sea Ice Extent (Global Antarctic and Arctic) – Day 102- 2016

I have no idea what is the right data. The NSIDC says:

“The daily sea ice extent images are sporadically displaying erroneous data. NSIDC is investigating with our satellite data providers.”

After they fix the satellite I’ll have to decide whether to snooth the data or leave it as is. Maybe I’ll have a poll!

South / North

  1. Not sure they have completely fixed the ice measurements yet, but if the Arctic value is correct at its current point, it begs the question of the proclamation earlier of lowest ever type bs… time will tell

    • Antarctic MIGHT be right. Arctic is still pretty high. But who knows what is right, I hop they fully explain it and make us believe it is only a recent glitch.
