100% Renewable (COUGH COUGH)

“The city of Las Vegas is now drawing 100 percent of its power from renewable energy sources

“The effort moved closer to reality about a year ago when the city expanded its partnership with NVEnergy

NVEnergy’s GreenEnergy program allows large customers to contract for an added cost with the company to power their facilities. Customers that opt to receive all of their energy from renewable sources pay a slight premium for that.”

Coal currently accounts for 8 percent of NVEnergy’s generating resources, compared with 74 percent natural gas and 18 percent renewable resources.”

  1. Gidday from Canberra. From this statement “Coal currently accounts for 8 percent of NVEnergy’s generating resources, compared with 74 percent natural gas and 18 percent renewable resources.”
It sounds to me as though NVEnergy is 82% fossil fuel.
I thought I would pass on this article from Australia by Terry McCrann:
The experts lie about renewable energy 28 Nov 2016

    with this beautiful quote –
“THE first and most important thing to understand about global warming true believers and the pushers of so-called “renewable energy” is that they lie.

They lie effortlessly, seamlessly, continuously and without the slightest sense of shame. They lie deliberately and carelessly and casually, and even when they don’t realise they are lying. They lie without the slightest sense of self-awareness and with all the pomposity of stupidity aforethought.”

On the subject of sea ice – I notice that The Cryosphere Today –
    http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/
is carrying a message on the home page saying that “the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) F-17 satellite…has been providing spurious data since beginning of April.” Which is very obvious in their graphics. I just wondered what satellite feeds the data for your graphics.
