1994 is the current record holder on day 43.
1997 is the record holder for lowest minimum – 121,000 sq km below 2017 (which is 5th lowest so far).

Antartic does not continue the way. Day 39 minimum by the moment. Sill being the lowest ice antartic and artic for the date.
If it continues this way we probabily are going to have the lowest minimum in the Antarticc and the lowest maximum in the Artic. ¿Alguna apuesta?

Nope. That was just a plateau. It looks like the Antarctic ice extent was still going down as of February 13th.
