The Winter of 1935/1936 in the USA was the coldest winter (using minimum temperatures).

Next time this happens, we’ll have a chorus of ‘catastrophic AGW is upon us’ during the summer, while the winter ill be dismissed as colder than usual weather. Just hope we don’t get panicked into another dumb set of policies again, as we were in 1998.

I think you’ll find it will be claimed that cold weather is caused by man-made global warming as well, is in fact being so right now, in fact.
As are droughts, floods, more snow, less snow, athlete’s foot and toenail fungus.
Al Gore (who as we all know invented the Internet) and his acolytes would still be ranting about how we’re all going to die of heatstroke if the glaciers returned and over-ran his house.
