  1. Interesting – seems that there is a trend in the Arctic sea ice extent reaching it’s max a little bit later in the season this year. Looks (by eye) to be around day 74-74 – so far – this year. One more little bump up, would put it even later.

    • Gary, I’ve been noticing the trend for some time now as well. Maximum extent seems to extend later and later with a more rapid drop to minimum, and a rebound trend starting later as well. One has to wonder what such a trend portends and whether or not one good global disaster (i.e. volcanic eruption) pushes that to a place where it hasn’t been before.
