US Temperature Records Being Broken By -18F

So far in February 884 minimum daily temperature records have been broken (Seems low to me)

But the difference! 2 x -18 , 4 x -17 , 3 x -16  … and so on

  2. A quick cursory glance at the duration of the previous records shows multiples of 30 year duration, e.g. ~30 and ~60 years. That to me sounds an awful lot like the AMO cycle that’s causing it.
