A new climate reality: Less warming, but worse impacts on the planet

WTF????

The most severe climate change scenarios now appear less likely, but extremes are nonetheless poised to overwhelm societies, scientists say.

In the not-so-distant past, scientists predicted that global temperatures would surge dramatically throughout this century, assuming that humans would rely heavily on fossil fuels for decades. But they are revising their forecasts as they track both signs of progress and unexpected hazards.

  1. My prediction, the North Atlantic Oscillation has entered its negative phase and Solar Cycle 25 is due, so a reduction in solar winds will deflect less cosmic ray particles, causing increased cloud formation.

Then the climateers will segue seamlessly from AGW climate catastrophe to Ice Age climate catastrophe (probably caused by particulate pollution (see Schneider S. & Rasool S., “Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide and Aerosols – Effects of Large Increases on Global Climate”, Science, vol.173, 9 July 1971, p.138-141) and expunge all references to AGW from Wikipedia.
