Well … go away for a few days and the Antarctic takes a nose dive … and the Arctic drops some and global take a big dive.
The Antarctic sawtooth pattern is not unusual for this time of year.
7th Highest Antarctic Sea Ice For This Day .
31st Highest Global Sea Ice For This Day
The Solar EUV has crashed down to 89 sfu [remember the low is about 65 sfu, peak is 280 sfu]. Two weeks for a hardening of Antarctica Sea Water. One week for hardening of Arctic Sea Water.
The Solar EUV thickens the Ozone layer. At 89 sfu there is not enough energy to create Ozone. Expect the Ozone holes to expand, letting out the heat and a plunge in the temperatures at the Poles.
So, does the ice build up, calve off, and not get counted?
You know how they count; however they want the result to be….
So I like your “not get counted”.
There is a lot of rotten ice up there that melted out… I still think if it clouds up we can beat 2014 numbers…its going to be a close call though…a 2 million drop in August is not unusual
