Hydro is fine — until you’re in a drought situation, like the one in Brazil (and Argentina?) recently that upended normal society. Pumped storage accounts for 99% of world energy storage but again, it’s dependent upon climate patterns and rainfall. Cut the rain, cut the power. How is that effective?

BC import/export stats … I believe the big import years are drought years. But I’ll check.
