Ontario Electricity – Nuclear+Hydro+Gas Keeps The Electricity Flowing

Lets say its April 7th 2016 3am or so in Ontario and there is about 15GW of demand.

Nuclear+Hydro+Gas keeps the lights and heat on.

Biofuel+Wind+Solar are just posturing. And they cost a fortune.

  1. Hydro is fine — until you’re in a drought situation, like the one in Brazil (and Argentina?) recently that upended normal society. Pumped storage accounts for 99% of world energy storage but again, it’s dependent upon climate patterns and rainfall. Cut the rain, cut the power. How is that effective?
