Compare it to last year. It was almost 20C warmer in 2018 on day 53.


2012 was the lowest minimum sea ice according to most sea ice extent charts.
DMI is now showing 2016 crossing to be higher than 2012. JAXA doesn’t show this yet.
DMI says summer is almost over. And by summer I mean the short period when average temperature is above 0C.
Red is the temperature for 2014. Green is the mean for all previous years. Blue is the 0C line.
It could be the shortest arctic summer ever.
DMI says it is getting colder in the Arctic. 15C colder. Yes, it is still higher than average. (Green is the mean)
A few days ago the Arctic was lowest for the day. Now it is 4th lowest.
